The Jordan Valley Innovation Center (JVIC) is a multi-phase project that will provide a location to conduct cutting-edge research and development within a collaborative environment. The seven-story Jordan Valley Innovation Center houses university researchers, as well as corporate partners, which are dedicated to the mission of product development through intensive research, development, and pilot manufacturing efforts.

The capabilities of the center include applied research in nanotechnology, bio-materials, advanced technologies, genomics/proteomics, bio-systems, software engineering, and medical material device and instrument technologies.

Southwest Missouri Congressman Roy Blunt was instrumental in securing defense funding for the renovation of the MFA Mill for the creation of Jordan Valley Innovation Center. The Center opened in April 2007 at 524 N. Boonville Ave.
