Meyer Carillon, Jane A.

An example of the world's largest musical instrument, the Jane A. Meyer Carillon holds forty-eight bronze bells, their cast iron clappers and a keyboard from Asten, Netherlands. The 140-foot, 2.5 million pound bell tower's Westminster chime starts 25 seconds before the hour and the first strike of the bell marking the hour marks the exact hour. It is located at the southeast corner of Duane G. Meyer Library.
