Freudenberger House

Freudenberger House, located at 1000 E. Madison, was built in 1959 and named in honor of Norman Freudenberger, Professor of Latin for 45 years and Department Head of the Foreign Languages Department for 36 years. Freudenberger House, known to students as "Freddy", is a five-story, U-shaped residence hall designed with 2-, 3- and 4-person rooms to accommodate 740 men and women on single-gender floors. All floors are completely smoke and tobacco-free. Freddy also houses the Military Science Department.
