Hammons House

Hammons House, located at 1001 E. Harrison, and named in honor of nationwide developer and philanthropist John Q. Hammons of Springfield, opened its doors in August, 1986. Hammons House provides residents with a convenience store that includes video rental, Boomer's made-to-order cafe, a fitness center, and many other conveniences. Each suite in Hammons House is furnished with a dinette set and access to the network and Internet. The eight-story residence hall accommodates 584 men and women on alternating, single-gender floors in a smoke- and tobacco-free environment.
