Kemper Hall, located at 921 S. John Q. Hammons Parkway, was completed in 1976 and is named in honor of the first head of the Industrial Education Department, Doyle Kemper.
Today, Kemper Hall is the home of the Department of Physics, Astronomy, and Materials Science, the Industrial Management Department and the Center for Applied Physics and Engineering (CASE).
Examples of equipment in this building are: Ion Implanter, two Molecular Beam Epitaxy Machines, Raman Spectrometer, Image analyzers, as well as many computers and general purpose electronics. Also, the building contains the Advanced Manufacturing Laboratories, Construction Management Laboratories, and Field Engineering Laboratories.
