Blair-Shannon, located at 1001 E. Madison, offers the "suite" life with double occupancy rooms adjoining a common living area and a complete bath. Connected by a ground floor containing a grand lounge, dining room, convenience store, and TV lounge, these two towers are home to 729 men and women. Blair-Shannon was built in 1966 and is named after Anna Lou Blair, professor of German and French and head of the Foreign Language Department from 1943-1957, and James W. Shannon, professor of history and head of the History Department from 1911-1955.
