Woods House

Woods House, built in 1971 and named in honor of Miss Mary Woods, longtime professor and department head of the English Department, is a ten-story residence hall that houses 390 men and women on alternating floors. It is located at 1115 E. Monroe. Woods House has a special designation as Missouri State's wellness residence hall. A special feature of Woods House is its 10th floor common area. It offers a beautiful view of campus and the surrounding Springfield community. This common area provides a fitness center, central kitchen facility and laundry room, ice and vending machine area, music practice room, sun deck and rooms for various student activities.
