Research and professional interests

His research interests are in the areas of criminal justice management and staff, corrections, policing, juvenile policy and programs, gangs and terrorism. His professional experience consists of three years as a program coordinator specializing in reentry services with the Indiana Department of Correction and one year as a social worker in a juvenile group home.
