Ms. Saxon’s research and professional interests include the role of identity in criminal justice and institutional corrections, restorative and transformative justice models, conflict transformation, and prison literature.?Caryn has coauthored a landmark book in the criminal justice field titled Restorative Justice: Integrating Theory, Research, and Practice. She also regularly volunteers in the local community in such ways as teaching a weekly domestic violence awareness class to jail inmates and serving on the Missouri Department of Corrections’ Restorative Justice Board.
