Research and professional interests

Caryn Saxon’s professional interests include mental health and behavioral change, criminal justice reform, restorative and transformative justice processes, occupational stress in criminal justice professions, and victim advocacy.  Caryn has coauthored a textbook with Dr. Aida Hass titled Restorative Justice: Integrating Theory, Research, and Practice. She regularly volunteers in the local community with various organizations and agencies including the Greene County Jail and Missouri’s Department of Corrections and serves as internship coordinator for the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice.
