Biography

Kaleigh Pickett (EdS) is an experienced special educator and process coordinator in Missouri K-12 public schools, now shaping inclusive education at Missouri State University. As teaching faculty at MSU, she leads courses in the School of Special Education, Leadership and Professional Studies, exploring exceptional children's language development, transition services/vocational education and assessment and evaluation of exceptional children. She also coordinates the Pathways for Para's Registered Teacher Apprenticeship program.
 
Her current research focuses on rethinking teacher preparation by diversifying routes to teacher certification in Missouri through apprenticeship, driving impactful change in special education.
