Research and professional interests
Dr. Kotlaja’s primary research interests focus on juvenile delinquency, cross-cultural comparisons, and aggregate data issues. A broad theme of her research agenda is understanding how experiences with strains and stressors impact perceptions, social interactions, and behaviors related to radicalization, crime, and deviance. She currently serves as editor of Inter-News for the Division of International Criminology within the American Society of Criminology.
