Research and professional interests
Dr. Gartin’s research interests are in evaluation and policy research, drug abuse and prevention, policing, and serial killers. He has served as a sworn reserve deputy sheriff and held a senior-level position as the Chief of Statistical Services with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. Dr. Gartin has coordinated a study abroad course focusing on federal agencies in Washington, D.C.
