Dr. Rebecca Rast’s research interests include work in consumers’ responses to persuasion techniques, fashion marketing, social relationships within social media applications and marketing pedagogy. Her research incorporates, where possible, analysis of emotional responses to persuasion techniques through the use of facial expression analysis software. Rast’s work has been published in the Journal for Advancement of Marketing Education and she has presented at conferences including Association for Consumer Research Conference, Academy of Marketing Science, Society for Marketing Advances and Southeast Marketing Symposium.
